NATO will need between 35 and 50 new brigades to fully implement its new plans to defend against a possible attack by Russia, a military source told Reuters. The source, who asked not to be named, declined to elaborate on the plans, which are confidential. A brigade consists of 3,000 to 7,000 soldiers, so creating an additional 35 to 50 such units would be a significant challenge.
