Naval Group: New contracts and cooperation agreements with Greek companies

The Greek industrial partners were gathered by the Naval Group on June 30, 2022, in the presence of His Excellency the French Ambassador to Greece, Patrick Maisonnave, at the French Embassy in Athens, for the signing of cooperation agreements as part of the Greek Industrial Participation plan for frigates FDI for the Greek Navy.

As part of the FDI frigate program for the Greek Navy, the Naval Group has designed a strong Greek Industrial Participation plan to develop new opportunities in Greek industry, retaining highly skilled jobs and creating long-term economic benefits in Greece, the company said in a statement. announcement and adds: In addition to the frigate program, the Naval Group is committed to building strong and long-term partnerships to support the Greek Navy as well as the development of the naval capabilities of Greek Industry.

In this context, on June 30, 4 contracts were signed with EMMIS for the supply of electrical transformers, with MEVACO for the mechanical equipment, with STELMA for painting works and with VIKING HELLAS for the supply of fixed hull inflatable boats.

In addition, Naval Group entered into agreements for exclusive talks with AKMON, INTRACOM, MILTECH, PRISMA and SCYTALYS.

“Today, we are celebrating a new milestone in our strategic partnership with Greece,” said Naval Group Executive Vice President President Alain Guillou, adding: “We are committed to supporting the Greek Navy in achieving naval superiority in the region, but also the ability of Greek industry to actively prepare for the future of the naval war.”

For his part, David Quancard, Executive Vice President of Operation and Performance at Naval Group, said: “At Naval Group, we are convinced that the partnership agreement is a key and strategic lever for achieving the complex projects we are implementing. As the supply of frigates is well on its way, we know that this program will be the first of many for which we will work together.”

In addition to their participation in the frigate program, all specialized Greek companies will be integrated into the supply chain of the Naval Group and will have the opportunity to participate in other future international tenders, thus increasing their capabilities as well as their potential financial benefit and visibility. in the world maritime market.

Thanks to its long-term presence in Greece, Naval Group has managed to locate many highly specialized and innovative companies and to develop strong relationships with them. To date, more than 80 projects have been identified and the Group has started cooperating with more than 50 pre-selected Greek companies.
