NBC says it’s ready for when ‘the Office’ creators want a remake

The NBC television network is more than ready to make a new version of The OfficeThey just hope that Greg Daniels, the creator of the series, will give them the green light to start the project. The American adaptation of the Ricky Gervais show was and continues to be a success, even eight years after it ended.

According to rumors within the entertainment world, there have been talks about creating a new version of The Office, especially now that NBC launched its own platform for streaming, Peacock, which already has series such as 30 Rock and Parks And Recreation.

Although previously NBC stated that it had no plans to create a new story of The OfficeEverything seems to indicate that they are just waiting for Daniels’ approval to start. Susan Rovner, the network’s director, spoke with Deadline about the potential project and said she was excited about the idea.

I think people assume that doing a remake of ‘The Office’ would be bringing the entire original cast back and picking up where it left off. I don’t think we could bring in all the characters that participated, each one is doing amazing things.
