NEAR Developers Integrate Pocket Network

Through the collaboration between NEAR and Pocket Network, developers will be able to deploy their applications on other supported blockchains.

Pocket Network Relay Infrastructure (POKT) Middleware Protocol Representatives announced about integrating services to improve the throughput of the NEAR blockchain network, and about accelerating the deployment of Web3 for developers. Integration with NEAR should allow applications to be deployed on other supported blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, Fuse, and others.

Pocket Network aims to keep its projects running smoothly through a global distributed network of over 47,000 full nodes serving Web3 applications on 46 blockchains. At the same time, the network provides full node operators with the opportunity to generate income by offering payments in their own POKT token to service traffic.

Recall that at the beginning of the year, NEAR managed to raise $150 million in two weeks and close the last investment round. According to the CEO of Dragonfly Capital, which invested in NEAR, Ashwin Ramachandran, we can talk about the huge potential of the project.

The integration of Pocket Network and NEAR is expected to reduce the hassle of connecting decentralized applications (DApps) through Pocket Portal, a second layer product for Pocket Network. According to Cameron Dennis, Head of Ecosystems at the NEAR Foundation, this collaboration will allow NEAR developers to choose between the RPC Pocket Network decentralized endpoint network and other centralized solutions.

Earlier, the USN algorithmic stablecoin, which is an analogue of the TerraUSD (UST) stablecoin, was launched in the NEAR network. Its cost is tied to the US exchange rate and is regulated algorithmically.
