Nearly 13,000 Syrians abandoned their country to Northern Lebanon to escape from slaughter

Nearly 13,000 Syrians left their country towards the northern part of the neighboring Lebanon due to the massacres committed on the Syrian side in early March, today was known by the Lebanese authorities. According to a report in the possession of the French News Agency (AFP), the Disaster Management Center recorded the arrival of 12,798 Syrians in 23 areas at the Akar Government, where they reside in families or sheds. Tensions in the western part of Syria began on March 6th in a village of majority of Alawites in Latakia province, after the arrest of a man sought by security forces. Conflicts broke out when armed men of the Alouite Muslim minority, which authorities describe as “loyal supporters” of Bashar al -Assad, opened fire on security forces. Entire families have been depressed in the massacres committed on the sidelines of these conflict, costing life in more than 1,500 civilians, in the majority of Alawites, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
