Nearly $ 600 for a five-year Radeon RX 480 no warranty. If you think Russia has expensive video cards, look at prices in Pakistan

For more than a year now, the whole world has been living in a new reality when it comes to the video card market. With the rise in the cost of cryptocurrencies, they have greatly increased in price, and even a complete ban on cryptocurrencies in China had a minimal effect on the cost of 3D maps. However, prices did not rise the same in all countries. Some were more fortunate, some were less fortunate. Among the latter is Pakistan.

The source cites the price list of one of the local distributors – AU Technologies, which mainly supplies Palit and Sapphire video cards to the country. The list includes video cards released 4-5 years ago and sold without warranty. Interestingly, mining performance is indicated directly in the price list, in the second column after the name. That is, it is obvious that the target audience is cryptocurrency miners. It is noteworthy that the distributor requires one hundred percent prepayment in cash, and you don’t even have to wait for the original packaging of video cards.

In terms of pricing, the Radeon RX 480 is offered for the equivalent of $ 585. This is the price of the official distributor. Retail partners can look forward to a $ 30 discount, but the price of 3D cards will be much higher on the store shelf. The same Radeon RX 480 may well sell for $ 800. The most asked for is the Radeon RX Vega 64 – $ 965.

And here is another list, already another Pakistani distributor – Pacific Computers, he specializes in Asus 3D-cards. And here the prices are also impressive: the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is priced at $ 850. Again, this is the cost according to the distributor’s price list. You can imagine how much such video cards will cost in retail. Another interesting point: the company offers GeForce RTX 3060, RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 without mining protection. You will not find such in retail now.
