‘Neck Hanging’: The dangerous viral trend in China for better sleep – ‘risk is big,’ experts warn

A new, weird – and potentially dangerous – trend went viral in China, as elderly citizens in public parks hang from their neck in special zones to relieve neck pain and sleep better. According to the Newyork Post, this practice that has gone viral through videos on social media records adults – mainly older – to wear U -shaped zones under the chin, tied to trees or rails in playgrounds. Participants hover slowly back and forth, in an unusual scene reminiscent of a physics experiment. “I no longer have pain and I sleep better” the “hanging” practice was invented by the 57 -year -old Sun Rongchun of Shenyang, who claims that this practice helps to deal with cervical vertebrae – a common disease that causes headaches, dizziness and insomnia.
