The south of Brazil had negative temperatures and frost this Friday (19), due to the mass of polar air that advances in some regions of the country. In the political field, the impeached councilor Gabriel Monteiro, from Rio de Janeiro, maintains the campaign to run for the post of federal deputy.

Cassado, Gabriel Monteiro continues with electoral campaign

Hours after having his term as councilor revoked by the Rio de Janeiro City Council on Thursday (18), former military police officer Gabriel Monteiro (PL) used his social media to campaign as a candidate for federal deputy and said he will be the “most combative” if he emerges victorious from the polls in October.

“I was elected and, in less than two years, I proved that the role of a councilor is to supervise and not enjoy air conditioning in the office. God gave me the mandate, God took the mandate, glory to God for everything. I will be the most combative federal deputy,” he wrote.

Bolsonaro’s HQ should invest in antipetismo

On the eve of the beginning of electoral propaganda on radio and television, the HQ of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) decided to invest in the anti-PT offensive.

According to members of the team that runs the reelection campaign, the idea is to make the voter, especially the undecided, be reminded of how much they have rejected the PT – citing the Mensalão and Petrolão scandals.

Government elects rejected names for Petrobras Board

Even after the three denials, the names of Ricardo Soriano and Jonathas Assunção were approved to compose the Board of Directors of Petrobras. Soriano is head of the National Treasury Attorney’s Office and Assunção is the Executive Secretary of the Civil House Ministry.

Their appointment to the Petrobras Board may be questioned by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Pfizer asks Anvisa to use an emergency vaccine against Omicron

The pharmaceutical Pfizer filed, this Friday (19), the authorization request to the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) for emergency use of the vaccine adapted to the Omicron variant .

Anvisa reported that the vaccine is of the bivalent type, that is, it acts against two strains of the virus. From now on, Anvisa has 30 days to complete the evaluation of the emergency use request.

Cities in southern Brazil have negative temperatures

According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), at least 12 cities recorded temperatures below freezing until 8 am this Friday (19).

The forecast warns of intense cold in southern Brazil, with negative temperatures in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná. The day dawned extremely cold, with frost forming in practically the entire region.
