Delegate Fernando Sodré, responsible for the investigations that resulted in the arrest of comedian Nego Di, claims that the influencer’s partner, Anderson Boneti, used a rented car to try to mislead the police.
Boneti was arrested on Monday afternoon (22) in the municipality of Bombinhas, on the coast of Santa Catarina. He had been on the run since the 14th.
“He probably came here to try to hide and stay somewhere he thought he wouldn’t be found. He was in a hotel, he had a rented car and he was always alone, leading a quiet life, but in hiding. He avoided going out on the street,” said the officer.
According to Fernando Sodré, the company “Tadezueira”, which has Boneti and Nego Di as partners, is said to have caused losses of more than R$5 million to its clients. More than 300 people are said to have fallen for the scams.
“In the criminal scheme, Boneti had digital expertise and was responsible for running the website, while Nego Di used his image as a public figure. We will now enter a second phase of the investigation, with verification of the amounts that entered the account and whether there were money laundering crimes,” highlighted Sodré.
Nego Di was arrested in Florianópolis, capital of Santa Catarina, on Sunday, July 14, but Boneti has been on the run since then.
With Boneti, documents, computers, cell phones and two debit cards were seized, which will be handed over to the Canoas Police Station.
