Neoenergia signed a financing agreement with the European Investment Bank, in the total amount of up to 200 million euros, around 1.2 billion reais, the company said in a statement last Monday (31).
This is a green financing that is backed by the capex of the following projects: Oitis Wind Complex (located in Bahia and Piauí), Chafariz Wind Complex in Paraíba, and Luzia solar parks, also in Paraíba.
The term of the contract is up to ten years, with a three-year grace period for the principal and its estimated cost, if the disbursement took place on this date, in reais, would be CDI + 0.62%, said the company. Disbursements must occur within 36 months.
“The European Investment Bank is one of the largest multilateral agencies in the world for financing investments aligned with initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change”, highlighted Neoenergia.
