Swiss food manufacturer Nestle has put up for sale two NFTs from The TRIX GLOBE collection.
To commemorate the launch of the TRIX Breakfast Cereal brand in the Middle East and North Africa, Nestlé has listed the NFT on Opensea.io, with trading running from March 18 to May 13. The proceeds will go to charity.
Now the maximum rate for NFT is 0.35 ETH (about $1075 at the current exchange rate).
Emilien Mesquida, Executive Director of Cereal Partners Worldwide (Nestlé Global), Middle East and North Africa, said:
“In line with our Better Life promise, we are proud to launch the region’s first blockchain-based humanitarian aid initiative, with all proceeds from the TRIX NFT auction going to the Emirates Red Crescent.”
Since TRIX is a historic breakfast cereal brand meant to “bring back the enjoyment of breakfast”, Nestle wants to “become more innovative” by including NFT.
