The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated, this Thursday (19), during a speech alongside the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, that the war between Israel and Hamas will be long.
“This is our darkest hour. We need to unite and win. That’s why I value your support, and the fact that you’re here shows that we need to win together. This will be a long war and we need your continued support,” he said.
“There will be ups and downs, there will be difficulties, the people here are united and prepared to take the necessary measures. I have never seen the people of Israel more united than they are now. We need that unity across borders and continued support as we win this war against modern barbarians, the worst monsters on the planet,” he continued.
Netanyahu said that is fighting an “axis of evil” led by Iran.
“Hamas are the new Nazis, the new Isis [Estadio Islâmico]and we have to fight them together”, adding that this was “the battle of the entire civilized world” and on the other side was “an axis of evil, led by Iran”, which also included Hezbollah.
The British Prime Minister arrived in Israel this morning to meet with Israeli authorities to demonstrate support for the Jewish country and try negotiate a way to secure the release of hostages taken by Hamas and facilitate the provision of humanitarian aid to people in the Gaza Strip.
