THE Benjamin Netanyahu denied that news is being prepared agreement for release of hostages held in the Gaza Strip, saying that the Israel has taken an initiative, as well there is no proposal from the Hamas side.
“There is no real proposal from HamasNetanyahu told representatives of hostage families, according to the prime minister's office.
A little earlier today, as reported by APE-MPE, a group of relatives of Israeli hostages in Gaza stormed the Knessetwhile a parliamentary committee was meeting, asking MPs to do more to be released their relatives.
“I say this as clearly as I can, because there are so many false statements that are certainly painful for you,” the Israeli prime minister added. “On the contrary, there is an initiative on our part, about which I will not expand.”
The Netanyahu government maintains that the Israeli military offensive, launched in retaliation for Hamas attacks on October 7, is necessary to pressure Palestinian captors to release hostages on terms acceptable to Israel.
But many of the relatives worry that the hostages may be killed.
