Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in the White House on Monday afternoon (7), where he will try to limit the impact of the tariffs imposed on his country.
The visit will probably be closely monitored by world leaders as global markets fall.
Netanyahu is the first foreign leader to meet Trump personally since he announced a comprehensive tariff policy last Wednesday.
Under the new policy, Israeli products face a 17% US fee. The United States are the closest ally of Israel and its largest individual commercial partner.
According to Israeli prime minister, the two will discuss “the hostages, completing the victory in Gaza and, of course, the tariff regime that was also imposed on Israel. I hope to help with this issue. This is the intention,” Netanyahu said before boarding Washington.
The meeting will also deal with Israel-Turkey relations, Iran and the Battle of Israel against the International Criminal Court, according to a statement by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office.
The ICC issued an arrest warrant to Netanyahu, alleging responsibility for war crimes in Gaza.
Last week, Netanyahu visited four days Hungary, a country that withdrew from court.
According to Israeli prime minister, Hungary is “a friend very close to Israel: defends us in the European Union, defends us in the United Nations, and no less, in the corrupt International Criminal Court in The Hague.”
Last meeting between leaders generated controversial lines
Trump and Netanyahu gathered at the White House in early February this year.

After a meeting at closed doors the leaders made statements to journalists.
During the speech, Trump said that the United States will take control and will owners of the Gaza Strip, adding that “the same people” should not be in charge of rebuilding and occupying the earth.
Trump stated that “we (United States) we will develop Gaza.” The US president has again defended an effort to permanently reset Palestinians in places outside the enclave.
“The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with her too,” said Trump.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who spoke alongside Trump at a press conference, said the idea of US President was worth paying attention.
