Israeli forces killed three sons of Hamas chief Ismail Haniya in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip without first informing senior commanders or politicians, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli media reported today. Citing senior Israeli officials, the Walla news agency reported that both Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallad were not informed in advance of the strike, which was coordinated by the Israeli military and Shin Bet Intelligence. According to Walla, Amir, Mohammad and Hazem Haniya were targeted because they were fighters and not because of their relationship with the Hamas leader.
