Netflix announces the end of recording the 2nd season of “Wandinha”; find out more

THE Netflix announced, this Wednesday (4), that the recordings of the 2nd season of “Wandinha” have been completed. The new batch of episodes of the series starring Jenna Ortega arrives on streaming in 2025.

“Wandinha” is one of Netflix’s biggest hits, with more than 250 million views and four Emmys. The first season has eight episodes and follows the trajectory of Wandinha Addams at the Nunca Mais school.

In the new season, the members of the Addams family, Gomez, Morticia and Pugsley, join the main cast of the production and will be at the center of the plot of the new episodes. Further details about the plot have not yet been revealed.

In an interview with Vanity Fair in February, Ortega said that the new season will expand the supernatural world of the series and revealed that the episodes will be more memorable individually.

Much of the cast from the first season returns for the new episodes, such as Catharine Zeta-Jones (Mortícia), Luis Gúzman (Gomez), Emma Myers (Enid), Joy Sunday (Bianca), Hunter Doohan (Tyler), Victor Dorobantu (The Thing) and Moosa Mostafa (Eugene).

Additionally, names like Christopher Lloyd (“The Addams Family” and “Back to the Future”), Steve Buscemi (“Reservoir Dogs”), Billie Piper (“Doctor Who”), Noah Taylor (“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”), Thandiwe Newton (“Westworld”), Haley Joel Osment (“The Sixth Sense” and “The Kominsky Method”), Joonas Suotamo (“Star Wars”) and more also joined the cast of the series.

In November, Entertainment Weekly exclusively announced that singer Lady Gaga will also be part of the new batch of episodes. There are still no details about the role that Gaga will play, but a source said that the singer would already be participating in the filming of the series in Ireland.
