The life of Marilyn Monroe will come to Netflix through the movie “Blonde”. the Cuban actress Ana de Armas is in charge of embodying the Hollywood legend in the production, which is based on the best-selling book of the same name, written by Joyce Carol Oates.
The film was shot in Los Angeles and premiered on the platform on September 23 this year.
“’Blonde’ reimagines the life of one of Hollywood’s greatest icons, Marilyn Monroe,” announces Netflix.
“From a volatile childhood as Norma Jeane to fame and relationships, ‘Blonde’ blends reality and fiction, exploring the widening divide between the public and the private side,” continues the streaming film’s synopsis.
The film is written and directed by Andrew Dominik. In addition to De Armas, the production stars Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams.
