Get ready for an intimate look into the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Netflix released the first official trailer for the couple’s upcoming documentary series, Harry & Meghan, on Thursday.
“Why did you want to make this documentary?” they are asked in the trailer, followed by a series of photos of the couple in public and private moments.
“Nobody sees what is going on behind closed doors,” Prince Harry is heard to say. “I had to do everything I could to protect my family.”
Later, Meghan is shown saying, “When the stakes are so high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”
Netflix refers to the series as “an unprecedented, in-depth documentary series.”
“Across six episodes, the series explores the clandestine days of their initial courtship and the challenges that led them to feel forced to step away from their full-time roles at the institution,” states a press release for the series.
“With comments from friends and family, many of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than shine a light on the love of a couple. story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.”
A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but the trailer says “coming soon,” according to Netflix.
