The convoy “continues to move until fundamental and lasting changes take place,” said in a statement the organizers of the mobilization, who demand the lifting of all health measures in the country.
The Dutch state television network estimates that several hundred vehicles are blocking the famous “Binnehof”, where many Dutch decision centers are located.
The first protesters arrived at 07.30 in the morning with trucks, cars, even tractors and caravans, demanding the end of health restrictions.
“At the moment we are here and we will see how this develops,” Rutger van Lieer, a 46-year-old protester and businessman by profession, told AFP.
Other protesters say they will continue their march to Brussels or Paris.
