THE Netherlands will proceed to slaughtering another 300,000 poultry on a farm in the southern part of the country, after finding one there highly contagious strain of bird flu.
About 30 cases of this deadly strain of bird flu have been detected in the Netherlands since the beginning of September, while other cases were known earlier.
As reported by APE-MPE, almost 6 million poultry they have already been slaughtered in the Netherlands since the new strain of the disease was first detected last year on October 26, the Dutch food safety authority announced today.
In recent weeks and France is facing a resurgence of bird flu caseswhile at the beginning of the year the country faced the worst wave of the disease it has ever known.
