Introduced on March 8, the new iPhone SE became available for order in the United States and several other countries (for example, in China). The cost of new items in the basic configuration with 64 GB of flash memory is $430. Other options are 128GB for $480 and 256GB for $580.
The new iPhone SE has become Apple’s most affordable fifth-generation (5G) smartphone. It also differs from its predecessor in the much more powerful Apple A15 Bionic platform like the iPhone 13. Due to this, the $430 smartphone outperforms the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is more than twice as expensive.
The new iPhone SE received a 4.7-inch IPS Retina HD screen with a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels with a Touch ID fingerprint scanner underneath, a 12-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization (OIS also works during video recording), a 7-megapixel front camera, 4 GB of RAM (versus 3 GB for its predecessor) and a battery with a slightly increased capacity. The smartphone is running iOS 15. The dimensions and weight of the model are 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm and 144 grams. An important feature of the model is protection against dust and water in accordance with the degree of IP67.
Alas, due to Apple’s decision to temporarily curtail activities in the Russian market, this model is not represented here and will not appear on sale in the near future. Although in the current situation, this inexpensive iPhone would clearly be in great demand.
