New attack by the Israeli foreign minister on the UN chief: “He does not deserve to lead”

THE Red Cross has not met with the hostages being held at GauzeIsraeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said today, after a meeting with the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva.

“I am with the Minister of Health and the families, we have a meeting with the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross. To date, no one has met the hostages. We have no proof of life,” he said during a press conference, assuring that “To date, none of our hostages have met with the Red Cross.”

Present at the press conference in Geneva were relatives of hostages, who presented videos and photos of theirs. The ICRC underlined today that he has not stopped raising the issue of the hostages being held in Gazaespecially during direct contacts with Hamas and other persons who can exert influence.

The organization said that continues to request information about the hostages and their health status. It also makes efforts to clarify the fate of missing people. Cohen said today that the Red Cross should be “stronger and clearer in its statements and apply more pressure.”

“We will continue this war until we eliminate Hamas and take back all our hostages.”said the Israeli Foreign Minister, assuring that Israel will not stop hostilities if it does not achieve these two goals.

Antonio Guterres “doesn’t deserve” to lead the UN, according to Eli Cohen

At the same time, the Israeli Foreign Minister argued that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres “does not deserve” to lead the United Nations.

Guterres does not deserve to be head of the United Nations. Guterres has not encouraged any peace process in the region (…). I believe that Guterres, like all free nations, should state clearly: Free Gaza from Hamas. Everyone says Hamas is worse than ISIS. Why can’t he say it?” said Eli Cohen, during a press conference at the UN in Geneva.
