THE Joe Biden confused Taylor Swift with Britney Spears in remarks on Monday during the annual ceremony clemency for turkeys of the White House, which happened to to coincide with his 81st birthday.
“Just to get here, Liberty and Belle had to beat some tough odds and competition. They had to work hard, show patience and be willing to travel over 1,000 miles,” Biden initially said.
“You could say it’s even harder than getting a ticket for her Renaissance tour (s.s. of Beyoncé) or, or the Britney tour. It’s down… it’s kind of hot in Brazil right now.”
The president’s mistake comes on his 81st birthday. In fact, in the same statements, the American President joked about his age, saying: “As many of you know, turning… 60 is hard.”

Swift performed Sunday night in Brazil after postponing Saturday’s concert due to extreme heat, while Britney Spears he is not on tour at the moment.
The White House did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment on Biden’s mix-up, which comes as voters express concern in polls about his age.
