São Paulo There are countless exquisite and incredible restaurants, but, let's face it, there are days when we just want one good bar !
And when the bar has snacks and dishes from a chef who understands Brazilian cuisine like no one else, bottled beer and tables on the sidewalk – after all, any bar worth its salt has to have a table on the sidewalk – the combination becomes irresistible.
Goró de Mainha (R$39, 600ml) very cold, a bottled drink made from cachaça that has already become a trademark of the group that Manu Ferraz touches, which today contemplates the The Banana Tree with a decade of activity in Barra Funda, an A Baianeira unit within MASP and two more cafes in the museum, is also present and completes the items that make Manu's new venture irresistible.
On the corner of busy Avenida Pacaembu and Rua do Lavradio, the bar has a very relaxed atmosphere, in an old house with large red doors, high ceilings and exposed brick walls.

On the menu, savory snacks are of course present, with Shrimp Coxinha (R$27, four units), Corn Risole (R$22, four units), Dried Beef Croquette (R$24, four units) and Pastel Pocado ( R$23, four units), in pumpkin with okra, meat and cheese or mixed versions.
The chef also recommends the fried Quail (R$30), served with farofa and vinaigrette, and the portions of Turkey Neck (R$28) and Gizzard (R$29), which arrive at the table accompanied by salt bread, and Sun-dried meat with cassava (R$49), brought from the Jequitinhonha Valley. The suggestions to satisfy hunger include the Acebolada Sausage (R$32) and the Portion of Acarajé Cake (R$30), with vatapá and pepper, or even the Mexido (R$32), the only dish on the menu that consists of a combination of rice , beans, smoked sausage and egg.

Beyond bottled beer
The drinks follow the house's unpretentious proposal, with very cold bottled beers such as A Baianeira Lager (R$27, 600ml), pure malt beer made in partnership with the Catimba brewery, and commercial labels at good prices, such as Brahma (R$16 , 600ml).
The drinks menu, prepared with expert advice Márcio Silva , celebrates classic bar cocktails. Some examples are Rabo de galo (R$32), Maria mole (R$30), Bombeirinho (R$30) and Batida de coco (R$28). Gin and tonics (R$35) and Caipirinhas (R$30) are also prepared.

Among the drinks, there is a small selection of national house wines, produced in Rio Grande do Sul. It is curated by sommelières Cassia Campos It is Daniela Bravin (in front of Sede261) and includes a white (Chardonnay), a rosè (Pinot Noir) and a red (Merlot) ─ the three labels are available by the glass (R$35).
