In December 2021, Qualcomm announced the transition to a new naming of its chipsets, introducing the Snapdragon 8 Gen as a replacement for the Snapdragon 8xx series. Since then, an improved version of the flagship chip has been released in the form of 8+ Gen 1, but other lines of processors have not received an update. In early September, the company finally introduced the mid-budget Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and the budget Snapdragon 4 Gen 1. Now the performance of the younger model has become known thanks to advertising for the upcoming iQOO Z6 Lite smartphone.
The Chinese manufacturer revealed the number of points in AnTuTu synthetic tests that the future novelty based on Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 scored – 388,486. Although this benchmark evaluates the performance of devices in a complex way (for example, memory affects the final result), the approximate level of the chipset can be estimated. It is faster than its main competitor in the face of Dimensity 700 and much more powerful than the old Snapdragon 680.
