Greece has deliberately eroded the terms and conditions of the Lausanne Treaty recently, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said today, Anadolu Agency reports.
In his video message on the 99th anniversary of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, President Erdogan stated that “the terms and conditions of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, especially the rights of the Turkish minority, have recently been deliberately eroded by Greece.”
“It is not possible for our country to accept this situation, which is incompatible with the principle of good neighborly relations and loyalty to the treaty,” he added.
“The Republic of Turkey is consolidating its active position in regional and global affairs as it takes a steady step towards 2023, the 100th anniversary of the Lausanne Peace Treaty and the establishment of the Republic of Turkey,” he added.
