New change at Petrobras drops shares abroad and has repercussions in Davos

The federal government announced late Tuesday night (23) a new change in the presidency of Petrobras. The Ministry of Mines and Energy announced the Secretary of Debureaucratization of the Ministry of Economy, Caio Mário Paes de Andrade, as the nominated name to assume the position.

The change takes place less than two months after the appointment of José Mauro Ferreira Coelho at the head of the state-owned company, replacing General Joaquim Silva e Luna at the time.

Petrobras shares on the New York Stock Exchange fell more than 12% in the pre-opening of the American market, after the news of the change in command.
