Hellenic Aviation Industry SA signed two contracts with a total value of € 118.6 million, which concern co-production of F-16 fighters for third-party customers of Lockheed Martin, with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.
They also signed the contract for the upgrade of the Air Force F-16s to Viper level worth $ 97.5 million.
In total, ADA undertook a $ 233.9 million project from Lockheed Martin.
These programs demonstrate Lockheed Martin Aero’s trust in ODA for its excellent quality, reliability and consistency, while making the domestic aviation industry globally competitive.
ODA assembles / manufactures 30% of F-16 aircraft for the international market and for some parts is the sole subcontractor of Lockheed Martin Aero.
The upgrade of 83 F-16 aircraft to Viper is for ODA a unique project at a technological level, which will allow the Company to claim similar programs abroad. At the same time, it will offer the Air Force the most perfect F-16s in the world.
ODA is on a growth trajectory, having achieved in 2021 its recovery and its most profitable course. With the continuous recruitment of staff (currently it has 1,650 employees and by the middle of 2022 it will have 2,000 people), with the undertaking of new activities (construction of UAV, microsatellites, political sector), with the upgrade of its existing services and its technological superiority, becomes an important factor for the country’s economy.
