“Microsoft Envision”, Microsoft’s global platform for thought leadership and dialogue, was held in Greece on the subject of technological trends, challenges in the post-pandemic era and the growth opportunities that digital transformation brings to Greek companies.
In particular, 14 distinguished speakers, including executives from the private and public sectors as well as more than 120 students and new alumni of ReGeneration, met in “Atrakto” for a day of discussions, forecasts, analyzes, presentation of trends and exchange of knowledge, giving content to Microsoft Envision Greece, which will be broadcast by Microsoft Hellas exclusively online through the ON24 platform, on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
The event recorded the pulse of digital Greece through three thematic discussions that took place with the presence and active participation of students and highlighted the most important opportunities for companies and organizations that are transforming to meet the demands of the digital future.
In first thematic section entitled “After the next day”, the Minister of Digital Governance Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the CEO of Piraeus Bank, Mr. Christos Megalou, the Professor of Political Science and holder of the Gladstone University at the University of Oxford, Mr. Stevros Kalyvis and Mr. Malta, Mr. Theodosis Michalopoulos, analyzed that Greece will maintain the same pace of digitization that it achieved during the pandemic, through investments that help the public and private sector to make digital leaps. The discussion was moderated by journalist Pavlos Tsimas.
In second thematic section entitled “Shielding digital development”, Mr. Cyril Voisin, EMEA Leader, Chief Security Advisors of Microsoft, Mr. Panagiotis Papagiannakopoulos, Partner Head of Cyber Security Services of EV NA Europe, Mr. Ioannis Tzanos, Head of Corporate Security & Head of Eurobank, Information Group. Robertos Goglis, Chief Information Officer of Alpha Bank Group and Dr. Georgia Lykou, Electronic Security Engineer, Civil Aviation Authority highlighted the need for trust in the new digital everyday life and synergies between organizations, companies and regulators facing the escalating threats against Cybersecurity and our digital data. The discussion was moderated by journalist Tassos Zachos.
In tRitual section entitled “Participating in the effort for sustainability”, Mr. Andrew Quinn, Global Sustainability Specialist Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Microsoft, Mr. Thodoris Livanios, Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Achilleas Ioakeimidis, Director of Sustainable Development of PPC, Professor of Economics, Professor of Economics , Dr. Phoebe Kountouris, Founder and Scientific Director of the ReSEES Research Laboratory and Mr. Alexandros Katsiamboulas, ESG Performance Director of the TITAN Group, discussed how technology will contribute to the global drive for sustainable development. The discussion was moderated by journalist Niki Lymperaki.
