The government prepares the new Dpcm with restrictions starting January 16th. They call it the “hundred days” hold because, they explained in the council of ministers, “if we can vaccinate all health workers, the 80-year-olds and part of the 70-year-olds, in a hundred days, at the end of April, we will have an absolutely manageable pressure on the hospital network and if it works, we will be able to consider Covid only a memory “.
The infection has definitely not stopped, but has resumed walking quickly.
Therefore, trying not to block everything, the restrictive measures in force will be confirmed in the new Dpcm that is being discussed in these hours, said the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza.
This means that the color region system remains. With some news: it will be easier to finish in the orange and red zone as it will no longer count only the RT, but the parameter will take into account the occupation of beds in intensive care and in Covid wards.
The curfew remains at 10pm, while to avoid the crowds of aperitifs, there will be one squeeze on takeaways from bars, which will be blocked at 18.
In the yellow areas there is a window for the reopening of museums, but it will still be discussed with the Regions today.
In short, the system of restrictions, depending on the colors of the regions, remains in force. There are two novelties on the table: it’s possible the introduction of a white band, should the RT fall below 0.5, with practically minimal restrictions.
The restrictions in detail
– Curfew confirmed from 10pm to 5am.
– Restaurants will be able to continue to do homework. But for bars it will be forbidden to take away after 6pm: it is the anti nightlife norm, to avoid aperitif gatherings outside the premises.
–The ban on moving between the orange and red regions will remain. It is possible that the one between yellow regions will be eliminated instead
– In any case, it will be possible to move only once a day and for a maximum of two people (in addition to children under 14) to visit friends or relatives.
–On the school, the debate is open: Minister Azzolina asks for immediate return for high school, but it is possible that it will slip again.
For sport still strict rules
–The pools and gyms will not reopen. While we are ready to re-discuss the theme of individual sport.
–The ski lifts should remain closed even after 18 January.
The reopening of museums has been requested at least in the yellow regions. And we also thought about the possibility of raising the curtain in cinemas. But on these two issues the discussion is still open.
