Quaest/Genial poll for the 2022 presidential elections brings, in the scenario with the largest number of candidates, former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) at the forefront, with 44% of voting intentions in the first round, followed by the president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), with 29%. Then comes Sergio Moro (União Brasil), with 6%; Ciro Gomes (PDT), 5%; André Janones (Avante), 3%; João Doria (PSDB), 1%; Simone Tebet (MDB), 1%. In addition, 5% of respondents stated that they would vote blank/null or would not vote.
Third way should unify candidate on May 18

José Mauro Ferreira Coelho is nominated to preside over Petrobras
The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) nominated José Mauro Ferreira Coelho to assume the presidency of Petrobras. Graduated in Industrial Chemistry, Coelho was secretary of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels at the Ministry of Mines and Energy. He resigned from the portfolio in October 2021, where he has served since April 2020. His appointment comes after Adriano Pires did not accept the invitation to be president of the state-owned company.
NATO believes Putin still wants full control of Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he sees “no indication” that Russian President Vladimir Putin has altered his goal of taking control of all of Ukraine. “We need to be prepared for the long term. We have to be realistic and realize that this could take a long time, many months or even years,” Stoltenberg told a news conference ahead of a meeting of NATO allies.
Lockdown in China may favor Brazilian exports
