Typically, fully wireless headphones provide three modes of operation of the noise canceling system: off, on, transparent mode. In the latter, in addition to playing music, the headphones also transmit the sounds of the environment. And now, as the source writes, another dedicated mode has appeared – “wind suppression”.
It debuted in the low-cost, fully wireless ZMI PurPods Pro headphones. You can read about them on the iXBT Live blogs here and here. The meaning of “wind suppression” is to cut off wind noise – and only that. At least that’s what the manufacturer promises. It is possible that soon such a dedicated mode will appear in wireless headphones from other manufacturers.
