New Foglia Forneria takes good pasta and pizza to Vila Nova Conceição

The gastronomic life of São Paulo is very busy. Recently, we published a article with 15 new houses in townbut the list has already gained new weight names.

Among them, the Foglia Forneria Artigianale which has the chefs Franco Ravioli (ex-Pizza Bros) and his son Lorenzo (2015 Junior Masterchef Winner) at the front of the menu.

The restaurateur’s new venture Marcelo Fernandes is in a beautiful house in Vila Nova Conceição, modern, with high ceilings and open kitchen, in addition to a delicious balcony right at the entrance, ideal for sunny days in the city.

The menu is large and has options to share or individual, those very well served. Among the starters, the arancini, a risotto and cheese dumpling accompanied by pesto sauce (R$39.39) is beautiful, as is the polpetta della nonna (R$47.39) and the crudo di tonno e avocado, a tartare of tuna with avocado with citrus, spicy and truffle sauce accompanied by salad and toast (R$ 71.39).

If the choice is pasta or risotto, some options are worth the order: fettuccine al limone e gamberetti (R$ 98.39), pasta with lemon cream, parmesan, shrimp and raw ham powder; the pasta alla vodka (R$ 79.39), with tomato sauce, pancetta, vodka and parmesan; paccheri al gorgonzola and pesto (R$ 71.39); risotto al pomodoro and mozzarella (R$ 74.39); or the prawn risotto with dried mushrooms and parmesan (R$96.39).

There are also meats, such as the well-served parmigiana with sautéed potatoes (R$85.39), fish, chicken, salads and even paninis, such as the pork milanese, served with special mayonnaise, seasoned tomatoes and arugula on homemade bread ( BRL 61.39). The grilled ones can be accompanied by risotto, pasta or potatoes.

During the week, at lunchtime, an all-you-can-eat salad buffet is available for R$62.39 or the visitor pays for a main course and receives the complimentary buffet. A great option for those who like to order the “executive menu “.

From six in the afternoon, individual pizzas shine on the menu. There are 17 options, among traditional ones, such as margherita (R$ 59.39) and pepperoni (R$ 67.39), and the most daring ones, such as the unmissable Figo&Gorgonzola with tomato sauce, brie, gorgonzola, figs, walnuts and honey ( BRL 71.39); and the roast beef with tomato sauce, mozzarella, homemade roast beef, stracchino cheese and artichoke (R$ 71.39).

And for the grand finale, the canolli, a traditional Italian dessert with a very thin and crunchy crust and stuffed with ricotta cream and orange zest topped with pistachio (R$35.39 – two units) or Lorenzo’s famous tiramisù (R$ 38.39).
