New funding of 2.76 million euros to four OTEs from the Solidarity Fund

By decision of the Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Mr. Notis Mitarakis, the Solidarity Fund approved additional funding of 2.76 million euros to 4 local government organizations (OTA) first degree, in the context of supporting local communities that contribute to management of immigration.

At the invitation of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum, the Municipalities of Chios, Elefsina, Sintiki and Oropos, are subsidized with a total of 2.76 million euros, for municipal projects, following proposals submitted at their discretion and based on local needs.

A total of 94 projects amounting to € 36,867,474.43 have been approved in 35 local government organizations (OTA) of first and second degree, legal entities under public law, as well as legal entities under private law of article 252 of the Code of Municipalities and Communities (n. 3463/2006, A` 116) the share capital of which belongs by a majority to the local authorities.

Specifically, these are the following projects:

Solidarity Fund financing

Municipality of Elefsina

Waterproofing works of the roof of the Municipal Gym “Andreas Daskalakis”

€ 50,000.00

Municipality of Sintiki

Replacement of materials for the upgrade of school unit lighting and electric lighting of T.K. Bastion

€ 149,490.57

Municipality of Chios

Renovation of the 3rd High School of Chios

€ 1,600,000.00

Municipality of Oropos

Upgrading of sports and leisure areas

€ 970,000.00

Total

€ 2,769,490.57
