THE HBO Max released on Tuesday (5) the official trailer of the documentary series “Brutal Pact: The Murder of Daniella Perez”, which revisits the crime that took place 30 years ago.
In five episodes, the series brings new reports from Daniella’s mother, the writer Gloria Perez, and from artists such as the actress’s widower, Raul Gazolla, Claudia Raia, Fábio Assunção, Maurício Mattar, Cristiana Oliveira and Eri Johnson, in addition to unpublished details. of crime and judgment. The crime took place in 1992, when the 22-year-old actress and dancer Daniella Perez was murdered by Guilherme de Pádua and his wife, Paula Thomaz. For years, the murder made the pages of Brazil’s main newspapers.
Now, three decades later, Daniella’s mother Gloria Perez recounts the trajectory of her “search for the truth”, according to a press release.
The writer “tracked witnesses, identified evidence and helped to expose errors by the Brazilian authorities” and her performance was “fundamental to the resolution of the case, in addition to having left a legacy by achieving the amendment of Brazilian legislation, starting to include qualified homicide within the scope of heinous crimes”.
