The wholesale electricity price recorded a significant increase for today, reaching a historic high of 466.03 euros/MWh, compared to 426 euros/MWh last Friday.
The maximum price reaches the unimaginable heights of 686 euros/MWh and the minimum at 261 euros/MWh, with the demand close to 202 gigawatt hours.
In the electricity generation mix, 43.1% is gas, 23% RES, 13% lignite, 9.5% hydro and 8% imports.
It is worth noting that electricity prices are at high levels throughout Europe, with the maximum price recorded in Romania at 528 euros/MWh.
Over 500 euros/MWh at 519.74 euros/MWh will be the price in Slovakia, while in Hungary it will reach 510.22 euros/MWh.
High prices are recorded in all the Balkan countries (Bulgaria 460.54 euros/MWh, Serbia 460.3 euros/MWh, Croatia 482.95 euros/MWh. In neighboring Italy the price also exceeds 500 euros and stands at 527 euros/MWh .
In the countries of central Europe, the prices are as follows: Switzerland 396.49 euros/MWh, Austria 385.55 euros/MWh, France 373.05 euros/MWh, Czech Republic 361.62 euros/MWh, Germany 309.81 euros/ MWh, Belgium €294.86/MWh, Netherlands €289.61/MWh and Poland €189.84/MWh. Finally, in Spain and Portugal, the price is 158.02 euros/MWh.
