New historical record for electricity price accuracy

The price of electricity on the Stock Exchange is set to a new high tomorrow due to the combination of increased demand, reduced production from renewable sources and an increase in natural gas prices, despite the increased participation of lignite units as well.

The average electricity price for tomorrow is 473.93 euros per megawatt hour with the maximum at 650 euros and the minimum at 267.05. The load is expected to reach 410 gigawatt hours and will be covered by 41.8% from natural gas units, 20.7% renewable sources, 19% lignite, 6% hydroelectric, 7.3% imports while with 5.2% the participation of production of Crete.

It is noted, however, that electricity producers do not collect the prices set on the Stock Exchange but are compensated based on the ceiling imposed by the government per production technology.
