Honda has officially announced the 11th generation production model of the Honda Civic sedan, a prototype of which was shown last November.
The manufacturer announces a new design that has increased torsional and bending stiffness by 8 and 13%, respectively. Also promised improved ride and sound insulation, modified suspension and steering.

The car is built on a new platform with a wheelbase of 2736 mm, while the car has grown slightly in length (up to 4674 mm). The basic version has 16-inch steel wheels, and there will also be versions with 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Starting with the base version, buyers will get two seven-inch screens, comfort seats, Apple CarPlay and Android, and 10 airbags. The top version has a 10.2-inch dashboard, a 9-inch multimedia system, a Bose speaker system with 12 speakers, and wireless charging for a smartphone.

The Honda Sensing Driver Assistant package includes an improved front camera, traffic jam assistant, automatic braking and so on.
The two-liter naturally aspirated engine develops 160 hp. and 187 Nm, the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine has the characteristics of 183 hp. and 240 Nm. The manufacturer claims that cars have become more economical, in particular, thanks to an improved variator. There will be no other boxes.




In the US, sales are due to begin this summer, with a hatchback coming later in the lineup.
