Apple at the end of May began selling iMac computers with a new design. Users who received the long-awaited novelty faced a strange problem – some iMacs received a manufacturing defect, due to which the display is installed unevenly on the stand.
The video blogger iPhonedo drew attention to the problem, who found the screen skewed to one side, and then made sure of the uneven installation of the display using a ruler. As it turned out, he is far from the only one who encountered a crookedly installed screen in new iMacs – it’s not difficult to find such complaints on the official Apple support forum and Reddit.
Even the videographer of MacRumors noticed that the orange iMac bought for testing had a slightly skewed display, although at first he assumed that the problem was with the table.
It is noted that the iMac display is attached to the stand with seven screws, and this manufacturing problem cannot be easily resolved by users on their own.
Until Apple responds to the problem, users can only have time to check the iMac and return or replace the PC within two weeks under Apple’s standard terms.
