According to the chief delegate of the 3rd DP of Santos, Liliane Lopes Doretto, the athlete would be goalkeeper João Paulo, who plays for Santos, who, after the incident, made a statement on his social networks, together with his wife , Juliane Costa, and stated that he was fine and that only his wife was there at the time of the invasion.
“Everyone is fine here, you can rest assured”, he said.
This Tuesday (1st), the doorman of the condominium, which is located in the Embaré neighborhood, and three other men were arrested on suspicion of participating in the crime.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, two armed suspects invaded the place and held six residents hostage, while one of those involved, the building’s doorman, collaborated with the criminals.
Another suspect, upon noticing the police presence, clashed with the agents and was shot, and taken to Santa Casa. The PM was called and negotiated the release of the victims into the building.
