New Israeli bombings in Yemen – Netanyahu warns again that he will go after Houthi leaders

Israel’s armed forces carried out fresh airstrikes on Friday, hitting “targets” such as infrastructure including power plants and ports, in areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government repeated its warning that it would “hunt down” the Iranian-backed Houthi leaders in retaliation for their attacks on Israel. The Houthis, who control the Yemeni capital Sanaa and most of the northern part of the country, have been firing missiles and drones at Israel almost since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip, which broke out on October 7, 2023 in a bloody raid by the military arm of Hamas in the southern part of Israeli territory.
