The names of the 20 finalists were announced at the start of Saturday’s event. After the swimsuit performances, the competition entered the final stretch with the top 10.
Next came the evening gown category with 5 now vying for the title.
After two rounds of questions, the title of “Miss Universe” was left to contend for by Palacios, Porsild and second runner-up Moraya Wilson from Australia.’
When Maria Menounos, one of the presenters of the evening, asked Palacios, if she could live a year as another woman, who would she choose and why, she answered Mary Wollstonecraft, the British philosopher and feminist of the 18th century, who “gave a opportunity for many women. Palacios is a presenter and model and succeeds Miss Universe 2022, “R’Bonney Gabriel” of the USA, who crowned her.
