The Ocean Viking rescue ship, chartered by the NGO Méditerranée NGO, rescued 108 immigrants – including an infant of only 11 months – overnight on Monday, off Libya, as announced by the Massali organization. These people were aboard “two hoses of glass, which were both overloaded” in the Libyan Search and Rescue area, the NGO explained in a statement. Many of the survivors showed exhaustion and nausea and offered them care of medical staff on Ocean Viking, the same source added.
