“Happy Victory Day and Turkish Armed Forces, to the nation that hosts us” sends the NATOLand Forces Command (LANDCOM) which is based in Izmir on the occasion of her anniversary Asia Minor Disaster.
The… victory of the Turkish Armed Forces of course meant the massacre for the Greek population and since Greece and Turkey co-exist in NATO, such posts do not… “help”.
As it typically says: “Happy Victory Day and the Turkish Armed Forces to the nation that hosts us. On this very special day, we would like to express our gratitude to Turkey for hosting us on this special day. Since joining NATO in 1952, Turkey has taken part in many operations and exercises and its soldiers have always shown great professionalism and determination. Turkey and NATO are stronger and safer together.”
A similar message was posted last year on the respective anniversary. At the time, it had provoked the reaction of Greece, which had gone ahead with an appeal to NATO, with which it requested the deletion of the post, as it had been done.
ZAFER BAYRAMINIZ KUTLU OLSUN!
LANDCOM wishes a happy Victory and Turkish Armed Forces Day to our host nation.
On this very special day, we would like to express our gratitude to Turkey for their hospitality as our hosts here at #LANDCOM.
