Xiaomi’s partner Segway Ninebot has launched its latest self-balancing electric scooter or hoverboard on the global market. The product, dubbed the Ninebot S Max, is similar to the Ninebot Self-balancing Scooter MAX Sports that was launched in China last year.
Like the Chinese version, the novelty is intended to be used alone (with or without a handle) or in conjunction with the GoKart Pro. Ninebot S Max provides a top speed of up to 20 km / h and a range of up to 38 km when used as a hoverboard. When connected to the Gokart, it reaches a speed of 37 km / h and the cruising range is reduced to 25 km.
The Ninebot S Max supports handlebar mounting like the original Segway scooters. The steering wheel not only provides support, but also makes it easier to operate the device. It is shaped like the steering wheel of a racing car and has a speed display on top. The handlebar height is adjustable from 1.3 to 1.8 m.
The Ninebot S Max weighs 22.8 kg and features Ninebot’s Leansteer control technology. The control knob response speed is 0.01 seconds. The device has 15 patented protection technologies that are responsible for the safety of users while driving and charging.
Immediately after the start of taking pre-orders on Indiegogo, the amount skyrocketed to nearly $ 100,000. The device is offered for $ 849.
