North Korea today launched “short-range ballistic missiles” aimed at the East Sea — known as the Sea of Japan by Tokyo — according to a statement from South Korea’s national defense general staff. The staff “condemned” this move, noting that the analysis of this particular weapons test is still ongoing. According to Seoul, the launch took place “at around 07:10” (local time; 01:10 Greek time). The general staff said it would “share” the findings of the test analysis with US and Japanese authorities.
