New threats to resume trade war have been launched Monday by US President Donald Trump in more than thirteen countries, warning that they would face high duties if they do not agree on trade agreements by August 1st. In fact, the president targeted two of the closest allies in the US, Japan and South Korea, as well as Malaysia, Indonesia and South Africa. The New York Times writes that Trump has expanded the timeframe for dozens of other countries, signing an executive decree on Monday at noon that delayed the strict duties initially to be implemented on July 9th.
