After just over a month of beta testing, the iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 updates are officially available for installation to all users. - The Camera application now automatically activates the macro mode of the ultra-wide-angle camera when approaching an object, it is now possible to disable the option in the settings (only for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max).
- You can now add your COVID-19 vaccination certificate with QR code and test results to the Wallet and Health apps (not available in all regions).
- The Home app has new automation settings based on data if the HomeKit-compatible sensor detects something (movement or changes in humidity, air quality, lighting).
- In Commands, you can now overlay text on an image or GIF animation using the appropriate shortcut.
- IPadOS adds support for Online Text to quickly recognize, copy, and translate text in images and in the camera viewfinder (Compatible tablets include all iPads, iPad Pro, and iPad mini with Apple A12 Bionic processor and later).
Among other things, the HomePod speakers have been updated to play supported songs in Hi-Res Lossless and Dolby Atmos formats.
