New video that has come to light shows how close Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old who attempted to assassinate the US presidential candidate, got to Donald Trump. Crooks, 20, came within arm’s length of Trump on Saturday as the presidential candidate addressed supporters during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The images, published by the Daily Mail, show a ladder hidden in thick bushes propped up against the side of the building leading directly to the roof, which witnesses later told police they saw Crooks climbing. As it has become known, the 20-year-old was at a distance of about 150 meters from Trump.
