A new video granted to CNN by an automotive store, shows the exact moment in which the plane involved in the air accident in Gramado, Serra Gaúcha, falls on houses and stores. The accident happened last Sunday morning (22), on Avenida das Hortênsias, one of the city’s main roads, and left 10 victims .
The plane’s crew were identified as the CEO of Galeazzi & Associados Luiz Galeazzi, and 9 other family members. Two other people were seriously injured after being hit on the ground by the aircraft crash.

No black box
The plane that crashed in Gramado did not have a black box. The information was confirmed to CNN by the Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul.
THE CNN found that the Piper PA-42-1000 Cheyenne 400 aircraft was not required to have the recorder. According to the police, The lack of equipment is an obstacle to investigating the cause of the accident.
The black box is the main instrument for investigating air accidents. It consists of flight data and audio recorders, recorded inside the thermally insulated titanium alloy box.

- FDR (Flight Data Recorder): the flight data recorder records information from various aircraft systems, including the route and mechanical failures
- CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder) : The cockpit voice recorder records the audio of pilots in the cockpit during the flight. It records the pilot’s channel with traffic control, co-pilot, passenger/steward cabin and general cockpit environment channel.
